The price axis is linear between -$100 and $300 and log-compressed beyond, so the normal band stays readable while cap events ($16,600) and negative prices remain visible. The distribution buckets everything below -$100 / above $300 into underflow / overflow bars. "Capped" shape lines average only -$100 to $300 intervals, so the typical day isn't skewed by rare spikes.
